Shhh! The Strokes Are Recording Their Fourth Album

After splitting off in different directions for solo projects, The Strokes have reconvened in New York's Avatar Studios to record their fourth studio album with producer Joe Chiccarelli (U2, The White Stripes, Beck).

According to the quintet's website, the band is "busy recording" the followup to First Impressions of Earth with Chiccarelli and engineer Gus Oberg (Bloc Party).

The Strokes promise "video vignettes" of their process in the coming weeks.

Chiccarelli, who snagged a prestigious non-classical Producer of the Year Grammy nomination in 2008, has also worked with My Morning Jacket, The Shins, Tori Amos and Frank Zappa.
