Demos Dish: Talking To Echo & The Bunnymen's Ian McCulloch

UPDATE: If you missed Demos' interview, you can listen back to it here.

I will be talking to Echo & The Bunnymen's Ian McCulloch tonight, February 2, on WFUV's Words & Music from Studio A at 9 PM ET.

Ian loves a great time. He wants to cheer and entertain you. He will not disappoint!

Ian came to The Alternate Side studios and immediately the laughs followed. But with all of the good laughs and great music moments, there's also an inner, dark side to Ian. When asked what scares him, he remarked "myself."

His mood swings move from high to low, which you can hear during the interview and through the darkness in the music. You'll hear four Echo & The Bunnymen songs from new tracks from The Fountain to classics. Also, a special solo song from Ian. Will he play "The Killing Moon" live? Yes, and it's the best acoustic performance I've heard to date.

We had so much fun for the on-air special we decided to meet up at a loft party where this photo (above) was snapped by Andrzej Liguz. Ian hung out in New York for three days, had a little whiskey with his breakfast, and was a man of his word. Lucky for us, he promises to visit again when he's back in New York.

Ian McCulloch, tonight on 90.7 WFUV's Words & Music from Studio A, on the radio or via WFUV.org.
