Florence and The Machine Premiere Glittery "You've Got The Love" Video And Sadly Lose Gear in Trailer Fire.

Bands have been having bad luck with gear lately. Noah and the Whale had thousands of dollars worth of irreplaceable equipment disappear when their van was stolen outside of a Manchester hotel (and despite an arrest, still remains lost), and now, Florence and the Machine has suffered a similar fate, losing all of their equipment and merchandise in a trailer fire just prior to the band's gig in Copenhagen.

State reports that as the Florence Welch and her bandmates took the stage in Copenhagen on Sunday night, they talked about the fire, which occurred between Norway and Denmark, noting that they were using rented equipment. There was also no merchandise - clothing or CDs - on sale at the venue. The fire has fortunately not derailed the band's current European tour, which wraps this Saturday, nor their four North American dates at the end of the month; they'll continue with rented gear.

In other news, the next single from Florence and the Machine's debut album Lungs, "You've Got The Love," will be released on November 16. The track is Welch's own re-configuration of the 1991 classic "You Got The Love" from Candi Staton and The Source. The CD single will include Florence's take on "Addicted to Love," while a limited edition 7-inch single will have an A-side of "You've Got the Love" backed by the xx's remix - or cover of Florence's cover - as we reported last month. The digital download of the single will include remixes from Tom Middleton and Pitron and Sanna plus a live performance, recorded at Abbey Road studios. The single is available for pre-order on Florence and the Machine's website.
