The Postelles "You Know I Won't"
A few years ago at the Sidewalk Cafe in the East Village, Albert Hammond Jr. happened to pop in when The Postelles were on stage. At the time, the upper west siders were Beatles enthused indie rockers playing gigs on the weekends for friends. After the encounter with Hammond Jr, the guitarist of The Strokes, the guys sent him their demo and he liked what he heard. Fast forward to 2009, the band has been rehearsing and just started recording their debut album with now good friend, Albert Hammond Jr. The band has a collection of catchy pop tunes (big Beatles fans) and an established local following.
