Karen Elson's Studio A Session Now On NPR

When Karen Elson visited The Alternate Side and WFUV's Studio A, it was long before her husband, Jack White, had pulled the plug on the The White Stripes. Still, the English model with deep-rooted musical aspirations was quite open about her collaboration with White and her own rock 'n' roll dreams, long harbored since she was a young girl growing up near Manchester.  Check out TAS' session in Studio A with Elson, now on NPR.org. Shaggy-haired Massachusetts homeboy Dom was snagged by Astralwerks last year, right around CMJ time, and he and his bandmates will re-release a remastered, remixed, limited edition of their 2010 EP Sun Bronzed Greek Gods on February 15. The band dropped by The Alternate Side this week to play a live session in Studio A and unveiled a fairly new song called "Crazy Girl." Check out the exclusive video after the jump.

Video: Punch Brothers Perform In Studio A

Alt-bluegrass band Punch Brothers will join Amos Lee, The Secret Sisters and Citizen Cope at our sister station WFUV's annual Holiday Cheer concert on December 6 at the New York Society for Ethical Culture. Chris Thile and his bandmates recently dropped by Studio A to perform tracks from their second album Antifogmatic. After the jump, a performance of "Alex."
