Expect to hear a lot from Low Water in 2009: PBS will feature the track "House in the City" on the documentary series Roadtrip Nation this season. And recent chat in the blogosphere is adding to the anticipation of the soon-to-be-released CD as well; Pop Headwound posted "Voodoo Taxi", the album's first track, as a song of the month (along with Jenny Lewis) and culturespill.com recently exclaimed, "Back-to-basics rock and roll that awakens you to just how desperate you've been for a band that's not afraid to sound this real." Low Water's past work has garnered praise from NPR (the band was featured on "All Songs Considered"), Amplifier Magazine, AM New York, The Pittsburgh Post Gazette, West Coast Performer, Cincinnati CityBeat and The Davis Enterprise, among others, prompting smother.net to proclaim, "...(the band is) gathering up more critical praise day in and day out..."
