Win Tickets or The War On Drugs At MHOW On April 6

The War on Drugs, which most recently played New York for a couple of gigs in December, are back on the road supporting their second album, Slave Ambient. Opening is another Philadelphia artist, Michael Johnson, who goes by Ape School and will release a new album, Junior Violence, later this year.

Watch: The War On Drugs Video For 'Brothers'

The War On Drugs has released a brand new vidoe for their track "Brothers," off of Slave Ambient, out now on Secretly Canadian. The somber, shadowy (and darkly filmed) video of an elderly, gun-toting cowboy and his nurse was directed by the team of Ben and Alex Brewer.

Philly rockers The War On Drugs, who released the excellent Slave Ambient earlier this year on Secretly Canadian, will be opening for The National on December 12, but they've also lined up their own gig the night before, part of their current tour. The Alternate Side is giving away tickets to The War On Drugs' stop at Bowery Ballroom on December 11. The band is also looking ahead to an early spring 2012 road trip with Sharon Van Etten.
