MTK Festival Is Cancelled Due To Low Ticket Sales

The curse of New York area music festivals has struck again. The promoters of the inaugural Music To Know (MTK) Festival in East Hampton, Long Island have announced that they're pulling the plug on the entire event due to low ticket sales. The festival, which had a strong lineup of Bright Eyes, Vampire Weekend, Ellie Goulding, The Naked and Famous and more, was to take place next weekend, August 12-14.

Okay, a fine reason to endure the Hampton jitney this summer: Vampire Weekend and Bright Eyes will headline the MTK: Music To Know Festival on August 13-14 in East Hampton, Long Island with Cold War Kids, Chromeo, Tame Impala, Matt & Kim, Ra Ra Riot, The Naked and Famous, M. Ward and more joining the lineup. Tickets go on sale today, May 10.
