The Walkmen's Hamilton Leithauser has recruited friends from his own band, Vampire Weekend, Fleet Foxes and the Shins for his upcoming solo album, likely due out in the spring of 2014.

Sasquatch! 2013 Lineup Includes The Postal Service, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend

It's February ... and the lineups for spring and summer festivals are being released at a fast and furious rate. The Sasquatch! Music Festival 2013, which takes place May 24-27 in Gorge, Washgton, has tapped The Postal Service, Mumford & Sons, The xx, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Sigur Rós and more for the four-day event. Festival passes go on sale Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).

Vampire Weekend, Real Estate, Dirty Projectors And More For Hurricane Sandy Benefit On November 17

One of the most active groups to swiftly come to the aid of communities stricken in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy is Occupy Sandy. This Saturday, November 17, at St. Ann and the Holy Trinity in Brooklyn Heights, there will be a daytime benefit held by that organization, featuring acoustic performances from Real Estate, Vampire Weekend, Devendra Banhart, Cass McCombs and members of The Walkmen and Dirty Projectors.

MTK Festival Is Cancelled Due To Low Ticket Sales

The curse of New York area music festivals has struck again. The promoters of the inaugural Music To Know (MTK) Festival in East Hampton, Long Island have announced that they're pulling the plug on the entire event due to low ticket sales. The festival, which had a strong lineup of Bright Eyes, Vampire Weekend, Ellie Goulding, The Naked and Famous and more, was to take place next weekend, August 12-14.
