GLAAD Objects To Tyler, The Creator's MTV VMA Moonman Win

Although MTV tried its best to create immediate headlines with Lady Gaga's tiresome Jo Calderone spoof and Beyoncé's baby bump, a headline they were likely not expecting was the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD)'s firm objection against giving controversial rapper Tyler, the Creator of Odd Future a VMA Moonman for best new artist. As GLAAD's Matt Kane notes in a blog post yesterday, Tyler "writes some of the most violently anti-gay and misogynistic music currently enjoying mainstream recognition."
