Two Door Cinema Club's Alex Trimble had a stellar night last month, singing Underworld's "Caliban's Dream" at the 2012 London Olympics Opening Ceremony. It was an upbeat preamble to the release of Two Door Cinema Club's second album, Beacon, on September 4 in the States (September 3 in the UK/EU). The trio will embark on a North American tour next month and The Alternate Side is giving away tickets to Two Door Cinema Club's show at Central Park's Rumsey Playfield on September 28.  Joining them will be Brooklyn's own Friends.

Northern Ireland's alternative electro-popsters Two Door Cinema Club have toured with Phoenix and Foals, been praised by Kanye West and recently released their excellent debut album, Tourist History. The Glastonbury-bound band recently dropped by The Alternate Side for a Studio A session where they spoke to our own Alisa Ali and played "I Can't Talk," "Something Good Can Work" and "Undercover Martyn."
