Win Tix To Theophilus London At Webster Hall On February 9

Thanks to early buzz generated by a string of mixtapes and his eclectic 2011 debut album, Timez Are Weird These Days, Theophilus London is one of hip-hop's more intriguing artists, deftly blending rap with a rock 'n' roll undertow. His live shows are often unpredictable, but always invigorating, and The Alternate Side is giving away tickets to see London at Webster Hall on February 9.

Theophilus London, Sharon Van Etten, Surfer Blood, Dom, Twin Sister, Frankie Rose & The Outs and the Stateside debut of Iceage have been added to the ever-growing lineup for the Northside Festival this June. Previously announced headliners are Guided by Voices  and Beirut.

Maximum Balloon Streams New Album On MySpace

Maximum Balloon, the side project of TV on the Radio's David Andrew Sitek, will stream their debut album for the next two days on MySpace, prior to the album's September 21 release and Sitek's gig at Other Music on September 27. The guest list on the record is impressive: TVOTR's Tunde Adebimpe and Kyp Malone, Karen O, Little Dragon, Holly Miranda,  David Byrne and more.
