Stone Roses Reunite With A World Tour In The Works

After a particularly contentious breakup, the Stone Roses, who were rumored to be reconciling for months, confirmed at a press conference today, October 18, that they'll reunite for a string of shows, including an eventual world tour. The Manchester band, which only released two albums, in 1989 and 1994, will play two comeback gigs in their hometown in June 2012 followed by a world tour.

Along with Pulp and The Cars, it seemed that Stone Roses might be added to the list of bands that might be on their way to a surprising reunion, following a report that Ian Brown and John Squire have patched up their long feud. Unfortunately, later in the day, those rumors were swiftly refuted by the band's former members.
