Silversun Pickups Set A Fall North American Tour

Silversun Pickups has announced plans for a North American tour this September. The itinerary focuses on the West coast, the midwest and western Canada and has a robust array of support acts, including School of Seven Bells, Atlas Genius, The Hives, 3OH!3 and The Wombats. Silversun Pickups, which recently did a session for The Alternate Side, is supporting its most recent album Neck of the Woods.

Silversun Pickups: TAS In Session

Although Silversun Pickups has seen its share of indie rock mainstream success, the Los Angeles quartet isn't content staying on a predictable path. For its third album, Neck of the Woods, Silversun Pickups strayed on a darker, dreamier road, influenced as much by frontman Brian Aubert's affection for scary movies as by its new producer, Jacknife Lee, who has worked with U2, Editors. and Bloc Party. Both Aubert and bassist Nikki Monninger discussed Lee's impact and more when they dropped by The Alternate Side for an acoustic session which airs this Friday, July 6 at 11 a.m. EDT on TAS on 91.5 WNYE and streams on the TAS site. After the jump, watch videos of the predominantly Neck of the Woods set, plus "Panic Switch" from Swoon.
