Lollapalooza Lineup Includes Sigur Rós, M83, Jack White, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath

Lollapalooza's lineup is finally official and the eclectic mix includes Jack White, the Black Keys, Sigur Rós, M83, Passion Pit, Die Antwoord, the Shins, the Weeknd, Justice, Florence and the Machine, the Walkman, Frank Ocean, Alabama Shakes and the recently reunited Black Sabbath, the Afghan Whigs and At the Drive-In. The festival takes place August 3-5 at Chicago's Grant Park.

Sigur Rós Plan 'Floaty' And 'Ambient' Album For Spring

Sigur Rós, who release their documentary and iive double album Inni in the States on November 15, have been working on their next studio album, described by frontman Jónsi Birgisson as "floaty and minimal." The still-untitled record is the band's first since going on hiatus in 2008 and is due out this spring. Inni will open for a limited run in New York at IFC Theater tomorrow, November 11.

Sigur Rós Returns With Double Live Album And Concert Film

Sigur Rós, who signaled that something was afoot a few days ago when they released a mysterious film trailer on their website, do indeed have a project brewing, although it's not a new studio album as many fans had hoped. Iceland's sonic auteurs will be releasing a double live album and 75-minute film, called Inni, at a date yet to be determined. The film, which debuts at the Venice Film Festival on September 3, is a document of the band's final London show prior to their ongoing hiatus which began in 2008.

Sigur Rós has just released their haunting 2006 documentary Heima digitally for the first time as a special edition in HD with 29 bonus videos, including five exclusive videos that were never available before.

Sigur Rós Continue Their Polite Protest Of Commercial Copycats

Sigur Rós, who posted a blog late last month gently, but pointedly, admonishing advertisers who are copying their sound in commercials, continue their campaign in a new blog, posted on October 5, as they collect examples of as many of the international copycats as they can. Anyone have that Mexican Coca-Cola advert?
