The Alternate Side and WFUV team is in Austin, Texas this week for the SXSW Music Festival for four non-stop days of bands, burritos and a serious lack of sleep. Festival coverage on both stations (plus NPR Music programming) begins on Thursday, March 17 with broadcasts of performances from Bright Eyes, The Antlers, Smith Westerns, The Joy Formidable, Yuck, Raphael Saadiq, James Blake, Wild Flag, Middle Brother, Emmylou Harris and many more. The folks behind the Lollapalooza festival have revealed the event's 2010 lineup with the reunited Soundgarden, Broadway's Green Day, Arcade Fire, Lady Gaga, Phoenix and The Strokes as headliners. Other bands and artists include MGMT, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Grizzly Bear, Devo, The National and the recently arrested Erykah Badu. The festival takes place August 6-8 in Chicago
