Punk Rocker Poly Styrene of X-Ray Spex Dead At 53

Poly Styrene, one of the most influential voices in punk and the kinetic frontwoman of X-Ray Spex, died on Monday, April 25, following a battle with breast cancer which had aggressively metastasized to her lungs and spine. In a sad twist of coincidence, the singer's new solo album, Generation Indigo, is scheduled for release in the States through Future Noise Music today, April 26.
