The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart Hit The Road This March

Euphoric dream-pop purveyors The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, who release their sophomore album, Belong, in March, will kick off a U.S. tour that month with Twin Shadow and Catwalk, concluding at New York's Webster Hall on May 6. Plus, The Depreciation Guild, drummer Kurt Feldman's other band, calls it quits but will play a final show this month.

An international flock of bands is slated to come to New York from October 19-23 for the CMJ Music Marathon and the officially announced bands and artists include Phoenix, Surfer Blood, The Drums, School of Seven Bells, Ghosface Killah, The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, UNKLE, Four Tet, Greg Dulli and scores more. Siren Festival 2010: Video Blog With The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart And Apache Beat

TAS Interview: The Pains Of Being Pure At Heart

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, who kick off a short summer tour with Surfer Blood and Hooray for Earth on Thursday, June 3 in Milford, Connecticut, will be headed into the studio at tour's end to record their sophomore album. Kip Berman, Alex Naidus and Peggy Wang recently talked to The Alternate Side about their plans for their next project, the joys of Slumberland Records, Japanese bagels and why the quartet's close friendship has made their rock 'n' roll adventure a true labor of love.
