Neon Indian Ticket Giveaway For Terminal 5 On May 12

Neon Indian's Alan Palomo is approaching the end of his current North American tour supporting Era Extraña, wrapping up a long road trip at New York's Terminal 5 on May 12. The Alternate Side is giving away tickets to Saturday's gig, which includes support from Ducktails and Lemonade, but you need to enter by noon this Thursday, May 10, to win.

Brooklyn quintet Friends, which is headed to SXSW next month, won't release its still-untitled debut album until May, but the band dropped by The Alternate Side last week for a five-song set. They even treated us (our request) to their fantastic cover of Ghost Town DJ's 1996 hit, "My Boo," the B-side to their slinky 2011 single "I'm His Girl." The entire session with Friends will run next month on The Alternate Side and TAS on 91.5 WNYE,  but after the jump, enjoy an exclusive live TAS performance of "My Boo" from the group's dynamic set.

Neon Indian Lines Up Lengthy 2012 Tour

Neon Indian will be living out of suitcases for much of the first half of 2012. The band, led by Alan Palomo, kick off the New Year with a New Year's Eve show in Dallas, followed up by a Flaming Lips extravaganza on January 1 in Oklahoma City. Five months of touring follow, including a stop at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on March 7 and, concluding the long trek, another gig at Terminal 5 on May 12.

More treats are in store this spring from Sleigh Bells who've announced co-headlining gigs with both CSS and Neon Indian, kicking off April 21 in San Antonio, Texas.
