Nothing like a visa processing hassle to muck up a North American tour. Scotland's noise rockers Mogwai have hit a snag trying to make it Stateside and will have to postpone five shows, including their gig tonight, April 19, in Washington D.C. and their two New York appearances at Webster Hall on April 21-22.

Glaswegian instrumental rockers Mogwai have a cheekily-titled, critically-praised and muscular-sounding new album, Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will, the band's first with the Sub Pop label. They kick off a North American tour next month and will take on Webster Hall on April 22 with another terrific Scottish band, Errors, who happen to be signed to Mogwai's own label, Rock Action Records.  And yes, we're giving away tickets.

Mogwai, Ultramagnetic MC's, More Added to Portishead-Curated ATP

Mogwai, the classic lineup of Ultramagnetic MC's, The Pop Group, The Horrors, Silver Mt. Zion and others have been added to the inaugural ATP I'll Be Your Mirror US event in Asbury Park this fall. The event, curated by Portishead, is sold out of three day passes, but single day passes are now available. Mogwai, those bruising Scots who manage the near-perfect alchemy of ear-bleeding decibels and incomparable melodic beauty, will release their wryly-titled new album Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will this February on new Stateside label Sub Pop. The band will launch their world tour next year with New York dates in April.
