Win Tickets To The Joy Formidable At Terminal 5 On March 28

The Joy Formidable has spent the better part of the last four years on the road maintaining a tireless schedule, nurturing its bold, uplifting dream rock, and graduating from tiny clubs to major venues. For over a year the Welsh-English trio has supported its confident 2011 debut, The Big Roar, with headlining shows, major festivals and support gigs with Foo Fighters. They return Stateside this spring for another string of dates and will headline Terminal 5 on March 28, joined by two excellent New York bands, A Place To Bury Strangers and Exitmusic, and The Alternate Side is giving away tickets for what promises to be a great — and very loud — night.

TAS in Session: The Joy Formidable

This trio of effervescent, sky-gazing rockers is one of the most exciting, young bands to tumble out of Britain in the last two years. Guitarist/vocalist Ritzy Bryan, bassist Rhydian Dafydd and drummer Matt Thomas dropped by The Alternate Side back in January for a live session and we've got exclusive performances of "Cradle," "The Greatest Light Is The Greatest Shade" and a brand new song, "Magnifying Glass" from their debut album, due out in June.
