Guided By Voices Reveals Details, Release Date For New Album

Not only did Guided By Voices' classic lineup reunite and tour this past year after a 15-year slumber, but the quintet has recorded an album of new material, which they announced back in September. They finally have a January 1 release date and more details for the 21-song collection,  Let's Go Eat The Factory,  on GBV's own label.

The upcoming Northside Festival this June has a battery of great bands lined up, everyone from Beirut to Twin Sister. Tickets to see Guided By Voices - the so-called classic lineup - headlining the McCarren Park Stage on Saturday, June 18, with Wavves supporting, just went on sale today, April 8. 

Reunited Guided By Voices Announce A Fall Tour

 After Matador Records announced that the reunited "classic" 1993-1996 lineup of Guided By Voices would be a part of the label's sold-out 21st anniversary shows in Las Vegas this October, GBV fans speculated whether a real tour might be next. Well, it is. Robert Pollard announced on his website on Thursday that the band will tour this fall. A New York show, with openers Blitzen Trapper, will land at Terminal 5 on November 7 and tickets go on sale for that gig on July 23.

The influential indie record label will be celebrating its 21st birthday in Las Vegas this October with a three-night mini-festival that includes Pavement, Belle & Sebastian, Spoon, Sonic Youth, The New Pornographers, Superchunk, Yo La Tengo, Cat Power and, significantly, a reunited Guided By Voices (the so-called "classic 1993-1996" lineup)
