GlobalFEST 2012 Lineup Set For January 8 In New York

Seems hard to believe that 2012 is right around the corner, but GlobalFEST, the New York world music gathering at Webster Hall, has announced its lineup for the January 8 event. Queens' Afro-Columbia collective M.A.K.U. Soundsystem, Haiti's BélO and Malian folk rappers SMOD, whose band members include the son of Amadou and Mariam, are among the dozen acts slotted.
