In addition to playing a midnight gig last night at SXSW, Flying Lotus has announced a spring North American tour, including a stop at New York's Terminal 5 on May 5 accompanied by Ultraísta and Thundercat.

Flying Lotus Releases A Short Film Featuring Songs From Upcoming Album

Flying Lotus and director Kahlil Joseph have collaborated on a short film, 'Until the Quiet Comes,' which features music from the L.A. musician's upcoming album of the same name, out on October 2 (October 1 in the UK) on Warp. After the jump, watch the nearly 4-minute movie, but be forewarned — despite a dreamy, atmospheric score — of some violent imagery (although nothing that much different from an average episode of "NCIS" and far more meaningfully and emotionally rendered).

Flying Lotus' second album Until The Quiet Comes, which features collaborations with Thom Yorke and Laura Darlington, won't be released until October 2 in the States (October 1 in the UK/EU), but the experimental Los Angeles-based producer has released a teaser track from the record, "See Thru To U," featuring Erykah Badu.
