Although Blake Sennett officially announced the demise of Rilo Kiley on his website in July, he's not written the epitaph for his side project, The Elected, quite yet. Sennett recorded much of The Elected's latest album, Bury Me In My Rings, on his own, but he did recruit both former and new bandmates for some studio work and touring earlier this summer. In addition to a frank discussion about his temporary leave from the music biz with TAS' Alisa Ali, Sennett and his bandmates played several new songs - and added a heartfelt cover of a Tom Petty classic.
