David Lynch Releases Mixtape Prior To Debut Album

Abstruse and surrealistic director David Lynch, who takes off on a new creative trajectory next week with the release of his first solo album, Crazy Clown Time, has released a mixtape with his collaborator and engineer "Big" Dean Hurley.  Their selection includes tracks from The Kills (covering Jonathan Fire*Eater), James Blake, Elvis Presley, Gnarls Barkley and more. David Lynch Gets An Electronic Makeover For January Single

The director made a bold leap into the electro-pop fray with the surprise iTunes release of his digital single "Good Day Today" backed with "I Know" earlier this week. Now, the Blue Velvet maestro is getting a classy remix treatment by a bevy of electronica notables for an EP, due out on January 31. Plus, he's talking about the album via Twitter today, December 8,  at 3 p.m. EST.

David Lynch Photo Exhibit Will Accompany Dark Night Of The Soul Release

The long-awaited July 13 release of Dark Night Of The Soul, the collaboration between producer Danger Mouse (Brian Burton) and the late singer and songwriter Sparklehorse (Mark Linkous), will be accompanied by an exhibit of photographs by fellow DNOTS contributor and director David Lynch at the Morrison Hotel Gallery in Manhattan.
