Chilly Gonzales, aka Gonzales or Jason Charles Beck, has had a notable solo career, but has also built a formidable reputation as a producer. He has guided both Feist and Peaches in the studio, recently working on Feist's Metals.. He's a flamboyant showman in concert, adeptly mixing banter with piano, and he's currently supporting his most recent album, The Unspeakable Chilly Gonzales, on tour. The Alternate Side is giving away tickets for Gonazales' gig at Le Poisson Rouge on April 21.

It has been four years since Leslie Feist released her bold, eccentric breakthrough album The Reminder, but after a few hints via videos on her site over the last week, the Canadian singer has finally announced the upcoming release of her new album, Metals, due out in October.
