Best Coast Sets Own Spring Headlining Dates, Joins Green Day Tour In Late March

Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino and Bobb Bruno will kick off a tour supporting Green Day next week, March 28, and the SoCal duo begins their own headlining tour on May 26 in Austin, Texas. So New York and New Jersey has two chances to see Best Coast this spring: with Green Day at Barclays Center on April 7 and at the Governor's Ball on June 7.

Along with the not-so-surprising news that Iggy Pop is a fan of HBO's emo vampire series True Blood, comes his collaboration with Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino on a song for the series, which will be heard on the episode airing this Sunday, July 8. Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Best Coast, Avenged Sevenfold and Cage The Elephant are among the diverse bands slated to kick off Orion Music + More, a new music and arts festival founded by, surprise, Metallica. Hard rock's  heavyhitters will headline both nights of the two-day festival, which takes place the weekend of June 23-24 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m. but pre-sale for Metallica club members begins Wednesday, February 8.
