It's hard to believe that Saturday, May 4, marks a year since the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Earler today, the Palmetto Playground on Columbia Street in Brooklyn Heights was officially named Adam Yauch Park in honor of the musician, filmmaker and humanitarian. Mike D confirms that while Hot Sauce Committee Pt  1 is still delayed, the Beastie Boys will release Hot Sauce Committee Pt 2 this spring following bandmate Adam Yauch's good news regarding his cancer battle. Although plans for touring are still sketchy, a new video is in the works. UPDATE: Yauch has issued a statement explaining that he's not cancer-free following erroneous reports.
