Adam Yauch Park Is Opened In Brooklyn Heights

It's hard to believe that Saturday, May 4, marks a year since the Beastie Boys' Adam Yauch passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Earler today, the Palmetto Playground on Columbia Street in Brooklyn Heights was officially named Adam Yauch Park in honor of the musician, filmmaker and humanitarian. Beastie Boys Thank Fans And Friends For 'Love And Support'

On Sunday night and Monday morning, Beastie Boys co-founders Adam Horovitz and Mike Diamond posted notes and photos on the group's website and Facebook page expressing gratitude for the "love and support" of fans and friends in the wake of Adam Yauch's death on Friday, May 4.

Beastie Boys On Track To Release New Album This Spring
