The lineup for Britain's Glastonbury Festival, likely the most famous all of the outdoor festivals,  will include headliners the Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkeys and Mumford & Sons on the Pyramid Stage, plus Vampire Weekend, Primal Scream, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds,  Portishead, Public Enemy, Phoenix, Elvis Costello, The xx, Cat Power, Dizzee Rascal, Foals, Johnny Marr, Dinosaur Jr., and many more. The iconic festival, currently sold-out, takes place June 28-30 on Worthy Farm in Somerset, England.

Sasquatch! 2013 Lineup Includes The Postal Service, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend

It's February ... and the lineups for spring and summer festivals are being released at a fast and furious rate. The Sasquatch! Music Festival 2013, which takes place May 24-27 in Gorge, Washgton, has tapped The Postal Service, Mumford & Sons, The xx, Arctic Monkeys, Vampire Weekend, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Sigur Rós and more for the four-day event. Festival passes go on sale Saturday, February 9, at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST).

The dynamic score for opening ceremonies of the 2012 London Olympics — featuring new material and remixes from Underworld, Chemical Brothers, Arctic Monkeys, Frank Turner, F**k Buttons, High Contrast, U2 and more — is available digitally tonight via iTunes. The ceremonies, helmed by Danny Boyle, were under the musical direction of Underworld's Rick Smith and Karl Hyde; Smith produced the collection which will also be available in physical form on August 6 on Decca Records.

Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Best Coast Tapped For New Metallica-Founded Festival

Arctic Monkeys, Modest Mouse, Best Coast, Avenged Sevenfold and Cage The Elephant are among the diverse bands slated to kick off Orion Music + More, a new music and arts festival founded by, surprise, Metallica. Hard rock's  heavyhitters will headline both nights of the two-day festival, which takes place the weekend of June 23-24 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, February 11 at 10 a.m. but pre-sale for Metallica club members begins Wednesday, February 8.

Lollapalooza Taps Foo Fighters, Eminem, Muse and Coldplay

This year's lineup for Chicago's Lollapalooza Festival was announced last night, April 25, and while Eminem, Foo Fighters, Coldplay and Muse might not be the most creative of headlining choices, the presence of bands like My Morning Jacket, Bright Eyes, Arctic Monkeys, Cults, Friendly Fires, Cold War Kids, Beirut, The Kills and Crystal Castles should make for an interesting weekend. Lollapalooza takes place from August 5-7 and three-day passes are still available.

Arctic Monkeys' Curiously Titled Fourth Album Is Due In June

There's always been a tinge of tongue-in-cheek bitterness seething under the surface of Arctic Monkeys' album titles and the British rockers' fourth album follows that pattern.
