Amy Winehouse's death was due to drinking too much alcohol, according to a London coroner during an inquest into the singer's death today, October 26. A verdict of misadventure has been recorded; the singer drank more than five times the legal limit to drive and above what's considered a fatal level of alcohol ingested.

Amy Winehouse's Toxicology Results Show No Illegal Drugs Used

Toxicology results released to Amy Winehouse's family reveal that the singer, who died last month in London, had taken "no illegal substances." The BBC reports that while alcohol was determined to be in her system, it's unclear if that played a role in her sudden passing. There will be a further inquest into Winehouse's death in October.
