Big Deal, the Anglo-American duo of Kacey Underwood and Alice Costelloe, are headed to SXSW in a few weeks, but this intriguing pair, drawing comparisons to dreamy predecessors like Mazzy Star, will stop in New York, en route to Austin. The Alternate Side is giving away tickets to their Mercury Lounge gig on March 12. Opening for Big Deal is the very promising 2:54, a UK quartet that's been enthusiastically endorsed by the xx.
