Jeff Kuprycz

For Jeff Kuprycz (that's 'kOOp-rich'), his student job at Hofstra University's WRHU station proved to be one of the most important career choices of his life -- it introduced him to the vast universe of radio and it paved the way for his current role at The Alternate Side.
Today, Jeff is a member of the WFUV family. His role with The Alternate Side is a perfect blend of his passion for technology and music. "In college, I went to hundreds of shows," Jeff recalls. "I love talking and learning about new music. That's the primary reason I got involved with radio in the first place -- the music. It's always evolving and changing and I really enjoy being apart of the transitions."
At WHRU, Jeff was the Technology Director and later served as the Music Director; he had the privilege of interviewing Jack Johnson, Amos Lee, and Augustana.
After college, Jeff worked at BreakThru Radio, an internet radio station where his love for music and technology merged. Jeff recorded dozens of live performances from NYC venues and produced/edited in-studio video content. In addition, Jeff hosted a weekly in-studio program showcasing unsigned and independent artists.
Today, Jeff is a member of the WFUV family. His job as the Technical Director for FUV's forthcoming HD Radio music channel and web stream, The Alternate Side, is a perfect blend of his passion for technology and music. Jeff is responsible for the operational aspects of the channel, as well as hosting and blogging.
Jeff currently resides in Brooklyn where he enjoys playing hockey, going to the beach, and spending time outdoors.
