Trish Keenan, frontwoman of atmospheric experimental pop group Broadcast, died on Friday following a two week battle with pneumonia. The band's label, Warp Records, made the announcement on their website.

Eclectic Liverpool rockers (and now popsters) Clinic, whose sixth album Bubblegum has remained a constant presence on the TAS Top 20 album chart for months, will release a 12-inch vinyl and digital single of the album's title track on January 31 on Domino Records. The band's surgical-masked frontman Ade Blackburn spoke to The Alternate Side's Alisa Ali not too long ago to discuss the quartet's decision to drift into a gentle pop direction on the new album.

Montréal's Chromeo, who launch their "Risky Business" North American tour on January 20 and have already sold out their upcoming February gig at Terminal 5, will bolster their road trip with the exclusive iTunes release of "Live From Montréal," a live studio session, on January 18.
