Northside Festival Adds Body/Head, Majical Cloudz, Bleached And More

The Northside Festival has added Kim Gordon and Bill Nace's Body/Head, Majical Cloudz, Bleached, A Place To Bury Strangers, Chance the Rapper, Young Magic and a long list of other bands to a lineup that already includes The Walkmen, Son Volt, Swans, the reformed Black Flag (Greg Ginn and the Jealous Again lineup) and more. The festival takes place June 13-16 and FUV's The Alternate Side will co-present Lambchop's show on June 16.

Sleigh Bells Set Spring Co-Headlining Treks With CSS And Neon Indian

More treats are in store this spring from Sleigh Bells who've announced co-headlining gigs with both CSS and Neon Indian, kicking off April 21 in San Antonio, Texas. The duo, who are also set to play the Coachella Festival on April 15, will wend their way to the New York area for two gigs in May. Plus, a brand new video for "Rill Rill."

Back in September, The Hundred In The Hands, aka Brooklyn's Jason Friedman and Eleanore Everdell, released their self-titled, dreamy dance-rock debut on Warp Records. Friedman and Everdell, who also run a mighty cool webzine called Thith Zine, dropped by The Alternate Side recently and treated us to four live songs, including the enigmatic "Pigeons" and "Lovesick (Once Again)."

Gang Of Four, which first formed in 1977,  return this week with Tuesday's release of Content, their first studio album in nearly sixteen years. The post-punk, dub reggae, rock-funk masterminds embark on a North American tour beginning February 4 in Toronto. They'll play Webster Hall on February 8 -  and we're giving away a pair of tickets.
