Bat For Lashes Back With 'The Haunted Man' This October


Bat For Lashes' Natasha Kahn will release The Haunted Man on October 15 in the UK on Parlophone/EMI and likely the day after Stateside. The record, Bat For Lashes' third release, is a followup to 2009'sTwo Suns. Kahn has also announced a fall UK tour that will support the album's release.

Nada Surf Release New Video, Look To Summer Tour

Right before Nada Surf kicks off its summer tour next week with Waters, the band has released a new video for the song "Waiting For Something" from its seventh album, The Stars Are Indifferent To Astronomy. Metric's slow ascent from well-kept Canadian secret to a band that headlines New York's Radio City Music Hall — which the quartet will do on September 23 in support of its brand new album Synthetica — is even more intriguing given the group's determination to create an independent business model. When Metric's Emily Haines and James Shaw recently visited The Alternate Side to play a special acoustic set (with a bonus cover of Tom Waits and Kathleen Brennan's "Strange Weather"), they discussed their forward-thinking business acumen. Animal Collective Announces Tour Dates

Animal Collective, set to releae Centipede Hz on September 4 (September 3 in the UK) on Domino, has announced tour dates beginning on September 18 in Seattle. The world tour includes a stop at Brooklyn's Williamsburg Park on October 5.  Pre-sale begins tomorrow, June 12, at 10 a.m. EDT.
