Watch Iron And Wine Live At WFUV

Iron and Wine's Sam Beam recently released his fifth full-length album, Ghost On Ghost, which is an expansive affair, complete with lush backing vocals, strings,  a horn section and a deep affection for a retro-'70s sound. Beam brought along nearly a dozen bandmates when he played live for WFUV a few weeks ago. Watch the videos here and listen to Iron and Wine's session with WFUV. Better yet, catch Iron and Wine at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, NY this Sunday, May 19.

Phosphorescent: Live For WFUV From SXSW

Brooklyn's Phosphorescent, the singer-songwriter Matthew Houck,  took advantage of sunny Austin during his live performance for WFUV during SXSW earlier this month, warming up the Hotel San Jose crowd with a set that included "Nothing Was Stolen" and "The Quotidian Beasts." Watch videos of Phosphorescent's set and an interview with Houck. WFUV's South by Southwest 2013 music coverage is graciously supported by TuneIn. Funding for WFUV’s ongoing coverage of live concerts and festivals comes from The Agnes Varis Trust.

The Dandy Warhols Set 'Thirteen Tales' Tour

It would be very inconvenient if any of the members of the Dandy Warhols suffered from Triskaidekaphobia. The band has announced its "Thirteen Tales" tour, marking the 13th anniversary of Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia,  and will perform 13 songs in 13 historical places across Portland, Oregon this week.

First Listen: Caveman, 'Caveman'

What Caveman's second album lacks in overt grabbiness, it gains in inviting, atmospheric warmth; this is a band that, only two albums into its career, already understands the art of the slow burn and the subtle build. Listen to Caveman's self-titled second album, out on April 2 on Fat Possum, streaming now via WFUV and NPR Music.
