The Strokes Have A New Single And A Fifth Album On The Way

Apparently trying to follow the David Bowie stratagem of secrecy until the last minute — until their cover was blown by a radio station —  The Strokes have confirmed that they're on the brink of releasing a new single, "All The Time," from an upcoming fifth album that the band denied working on last year.

According to Billboard, the soon-to-be single on RCA Records is on the way, an announcement first made by a radio station and later confirmed by The Strokes. Last summer Billboard reported that Julian Casablancas and his bandmates were working on a followup to 2011's Angles at Electric Lady Studios, a claim that the band's reps later denied. The denial was refuted by another source that said that the band was, indeed, at work on a fifth release with producer Gus Oberg.
