Dinosaur Jr.: Words And Music In Studio A

In December, Dinosaur Jr.'s  J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph played an all-star, sold-out show at New York's Terminal 5 marking the 25th anniversary of their second album, You're Living All Over Me. Rock pals like Kim Gordon, Frank Black, Johnny Marr and Broken Social Scene's Kevin Drew joined Dinosaur Jr. for an unforgettable — and bleedingly loud — celebration.

A few days later, the trio visited WFUV and The Alternate Side's Studio A for a bold, brilliant session focusing on their most recent album, I Bet On Sky. Below, watch videos of Dinosaur Jr.'s muscular performance — including a cover of Deep Wound's "Training Ground," Mascis and Barlow's pre-Dinosaur Jr. band — and listen to the interview in the WFUV archives with TAS' Russ Borris, who called the session "assured and nuanced."

The Alternate Side is a proud part of WFUV Public Radio from Fordham University,
