Post-Sandy Concert Cancellations In New York And New Jersey (And What's Still On)

With half of Manhattan and much of New Jersey and New York state still without electricity, very limited public transportation, snarled traffic on most roads and other post-Sandy problems, there are loads of cancelled and postponed concerts. UPDATE AS OF NOVEMBER 2: Lights are coming back in downtown Manhattan.

As of November 2:

Colourmusic has rescheduled their cancelled Santos show (10/30) to Saturday, 11/3 with MNDR and Static Summer. The show is at 530 p.m. and tickets are still available.

Savoir Adore will be playing the Brooklyn Museum on Saturday, 11/3.

Pianos reopens at 8 p.m.

Living Room is open and there will be bans as of midnight.

Cake Shop is open. 

Le Poisson Rouge is open.

Film Forum is open on November 3.

Webster Hall is open as of 10 p.m. with a "Blackout Recovery Party."

The NYC Marathon has been cancelled.

Bowery Electric - on November 6 will hold "Rock For Light" show, celebrating the Bad Brains, to benefit the American Red Cross for Hurricane Sandy Relief. Lineup features H.R. of Bad Brains,  TV on the Radio's Kyp Malone, D Generation's Jesse Malin, Vernon Reid and many more.

As of November 1

For everyone attending the Aimee Mann show at Tarrytown Music Hall on November 1 who might have no power at home, the venue is offering to charge your cellphone during the concert if you bring your  phone and charger.

There are some other open venues — Terminal 5 will proceed with November 1's Squarepusher, Holy F**k and Mount Kimbie show (with drink specials too). The Wolf Gang show which was to be at Santos has been moved to Brooklyn's Knitting Factory. Tom Tom Club is still at Brooklyn Bowl and even better, Questlove will DJ following the show at 11 p.m.; all proceeds benefit the Red Cross.

The JD McPherson, Donovon Frankenreiter and Sean Rowe show, slated for 11/1 at Bowery Ballroom, has been moved to Music Hall of Williamsburg. All Bowery tix will be honored.

City Winery is open, with a limited menu and full bar. And Glasslands is open with Black Spade, Fresh Daily and more on 11/1.
