Watch Everything Everything's New Video For 'Cough, Cough'

Mercury Prize-nominated band Everything Everything has been working on its sophomore album, Arc, and on Tuesday, the Manchester-based group released the video to "Cough Cough," the first song from that upcoming record, due out in January.

"Cough Cough" will be released on October 14 and Arc will follow this winter, on January 14 in the UK. The video seems to allude to last year's riots in the UK.

Arc will be the followup to 2010's Man Alive which was nominated for a 2011 Mercury Prize and a slew of other accolades, including the prestigious Ivor Novello award. Last fall The Alternate Side talked to frontman Jonathan Higgs about the evolution of Everything Everything's genre-defying sound which embraces electronica, hip hop, classical, rock and pop.

Everything Everything will be doing a handful of tour dates in the UK this autumn including Festival No. 6 next month in Portmeirion, Wales joining New Order, Primal Scream, Spiritualized and more.
