Watch: Grimes and 'Genesis'

You wouldn't expect a Grimes video to be ordinary, would you? Like an electropop cross between TLC's "No Scrubs, " Madonna's "Cherish," and Bat For Lashes' "What's A Girl To Do," the new clip for "Genesis" features Claire Boucher frolicking in the ocean, brandishing a flaming sword and cuddling a python.

The helium-voiced Boucher, who directed the video, plays the Reading and Leeds festivals this weekend and returns to North America in September. She plays Basilica Industria in Hudson, New York on September 25 but gets closer to the city on October 25 for a gig at Music Hall at Williamsburg and October 26 at Bowery Ballroom.
