The Black Keys, Neil Young And Foo Fighters Set Central Park Concert On September 29

Global Festival 2012 — featuring The Black Keys, Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Foo Fighters, Band of Horses and K'Naan – will take over the Great Lawn on New York's Central Park on September 29.

The festival will focus attention on the steps made — and the action still needed —  to eradicate poverty in the world.

Said Young in a press release:  "With at least 1.3 billion people living in extreme poverty on Earth today, there has never been a better time to become a Global Citizen and do whatever you can to make a difference for your fellow man."

The event is ticketed and while there are limited VIP tickets for purchase available in three price tiers, entry is via a program that enables fans to earn points to become a "global citizen" taking action against poverty. More details can be found on the Global Festival site.
