Pulp's Jarvis Cocker

Pulp, Hot Chip, Yeasayer, James Murphy And Sleigh Bells Aboard For S.S. Coachella

Ever thought it might be interesting to be stranded on a ship with Pulp's Jarvis Cocker or LCD Soundsystem's James Murphy? The organizers behind the Coachella apparently think so since they've managed to coax Murphy, Pulp. Hot Chip, Yeasayer, Sleigh Bells and over a dozen other bands and artists onto two Coachella cruises in December, sailing through the Carribean.

Others tapped for S.S. Coachella include Girl Talk, Grimes, The Rapture (DJ set), Black Lips, !!!, Cloud Nothings, Father John Misty, El P and Warpaint.

According to the New York Times, the cruises will leave from Fort Lauderdale, Florida for a three-day Bahamas excursion beginning on December 16 and a four-day Jamaican journey on December 19. It's no bargain for the "Music Festival At Sea"; prices will begin at $500 a person if you're willing to share a cabin with three other people and head into a V.I.P. $9,000 range.

Tickets for both cruises go on sale this Saturday, July 21, at 10 a.m. PDT.
