Frightened Rabbit Return With Autumn Tour Of North America, New EP And Album Ahead

A fourth album is in the works for Frightened Rabbit, due out in early 2013, and the band has announced a North American tour this October. The 13-city trek follows on the heels of the band's upcoming, still-untitled EP, set for release on September 25th and marking the Scottish group's first for major label Canvasback/Atlantic. Frightened Rabbit's tour includes a date at New York's Bowery Ballroom on October 8.

All tickets for Frightened Rabbit's shows go on pre-sale on Wednesday, July 11 via the band's website and will be on sale to the general public beginning on July 12 at noon.

Following about three years after the release of 2010's The Winter of Mixed Drinks, the new album was recorded in May at Monnow Valley Studio in South Wales with producer Leo Abrahams who has also worked with Paul Simon, Brian Eno and David Byrne, Ed Harcourt and Florence and the Machine.

Frightened Rabbit has also set some previously announced UK and Irish dates this summer. The busy fellows also have an upcoming short film documenting the group's recent tour throught the misty Scottish highlands; the trailer can be watched below.
