In addition to a batch of festivals beginning this month, My Morning Jacket will extend their tour into August. They'll bring along Band of Horses for most dates and Shabazz Palaces, Trampled by Turtles and Trombone Shorty for other selected dates, including a stop at Brooklyn's Williamsburg Park (with Shabazz Palaces) on August 19.
Tickets go on sale for fan club members on Wednesday with sales for the general public beginning this weekend. Don't belong to the fan club? If you join before Wednesday on MMJ's site, you can have an early crack at the tickets during the pre-sale.
My Morning Jacket will also donate $1 of every ticket sold at selected venues to local charities, indicated below.
And in a charitable gesture to their fans, the band is giving away a free MP3 of "Wonderful (The Way I Feel)" featuring Band of Horses' Ben Bridwell via their Facebook page (they want you to "like" them; what's not to like?).
