The Walkmen Return With 'Heaven' In June

New York's The Walkmen return this summer with a sixth album, Heaven, due out on June 5 on Fat Possum Records (June 4 in the UK/EU). They've also set support dates with Florence and the Machine and a headlining spot at May's sold-out Crossing Brooklyn Ferry festival, curated by The National.

The quintet, which marked its tenth anniversary last year, recruited Phil Ek, of Fleet Foxes and Band of Horses fame, to produce the album. In fact, Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold sings harmonies on two tracks.

The Crossing Brooklyn Ferry event, which takes place at Brooklyn's Academy of Music from May 3-5,  also features St. Vincent, Beirut, Sharon Van Etten, The Antlers, Atlas Sound, Caveman, Oneohtrix Point Never, Ava Luna, Twin Shadow and My Brightest Diamond. Following that, The Walkmen jump aboard the summer leg of Florence and the Machine's tour which launches in July.

In addition, The Walkmen released a two-minute trailer for Heaven on their website, which you can watch below:
