Regina Spektor Returns With New Album, New Track, Tour Dates

Willowy chanteuse Regina Spektor is back for a late spring release of her sixth album, What We Saw From The Cheap Seats, on May 29 via Sire/Warner.

A first glimpse into the album, "All The Rowboats," is available digitally via iTunes and other outlets and she's also lined up dates touring with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers this April.

The 11-track What We Saw From the Cheap Seats also reunites Spektor with producer Mike Elizondo, who worked with Spektor on 2009's Far. According to the official press release, Spekor, who recorded the new tracks over eight weeks, brought in not only new compositions but resurrected older material.

She is also plotting a Record Store Day release on April 21, dropping a 7-inch single of two Russian songs, “The Prayer Of François Villon (Molitva)” and “Old Jacket (Stariy Pedjak).”
