Watch: The Kills Premiere New Video For 'The Last Goodbye'

The Kills' Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince, who kick off their North American tour on January 20 in Chicago, premiered the new video for their fourth single  "The Last Goodbye" today via Nowness. The clip was directed by actress Samantha Morton, twice nominated for an Oscar (for "In America" and "Sweet and Lowdown"), and flimed in monochrome on 35mm.

Said Mosshart in a press release about the video: ""It was an honor to work with Samantha Morton on this 'Casablanca'-esque, silent-film-esque, Americana photobooth Woolworth's hay [sic] day period piece of surrealism/ realism/ story time tell-tale-ism, black and white 35 mm film, washed in strange light, over this love hate tune, heartbreak song, life-goes-on lullaby, 'The Last Goodbye.' It's a doorway into the future of the fatal past-tense. Get it?"

"The Last Goodbye," from 2011's Blood Pressures, will be released as a limited edition 7-inch picture disk and as a 10-inch release via The Kills own website. It will also drop as digital download on February 14 via Domino Records.

The Kills play New York's Terminal 5 on February 11, which marks their 10th anniversary together. Opening for the duo is fellow Jack White pals JEFF the Brotherhood and Hunters.
