PJ Harvey, Bon Iver, Elbow, Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines, Feist Among Brit Award Nominees
PJ Harvey, Bon Iver, Elbow, Arctic Monkeys, The Vaccines and Feist are among the nominees for the 2012 Brit Awards, the UK's equivalent of the Grammy. The nominations were announced earlier today at London's Savoy Hotel.
The awards will be handed out February 21 in London with Florence and the Machine, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds and Blur, with their first live appearance in three years, slated to perform.
Other notable artists and bands getting a nod include Fleet Foxes, Kate Bush, Laura Marling, Anna Calvi and Björk. Surprisingly, British newcomer Ed Sheeran garnered the most nominations, four, including Best British Album of the Year.
Voting is also open, beginning today, January 12, for Best British Breakthrough Act here.
