Elbow Announce North American Tour This Fall

Elbow, who top the TAS Top 20 album chart this week, will be returning Stateside in September for a two-week tour, including stops at Austin City Limits on September 18 and New York's Terminal 5 on September 25.

They'll also perform on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon" on September 21, a rare US television appearance for the Manchester band. In April The Alternate Side chatted with the genial Guy Garvey and bassist Pete Turner (who managed to knock out Everything Everything bassist Jeremy Pritchard's tooth a couple of weeks ago during an amiable, but drunken, embrace at a Villagers gig); you can read the interview here.

The Mercury Prize winners, who played Coachella in April and will head to Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage next week, are supporting their handsome and thoughtful new album, build a rocket boys!.

Tickets are on sale to the general public for most of the shows beginning this Friday, June 17 at noon.
